Leo Kottke and Leon Redbone by Stephen Thompson They make quite a duo.
Known for his unmistakable, booming voice and love of traditional ragtime, jazz and folk music, Leon Redbone (in photo) has made an indelible stamp on popular culture through his mysterious persona and his work on mainstream material like the theme song for the TV show "Mr. Belvedere."
Leo Kottke has spent the last three decades cementing his position as a constantly touring titan of the finger-picking six- and 12-string guitar.
Both played Madison separately last year, Kottke in support of his 24th album, "Standing In My Shoes," and Redbone in support of the fine "No Regrets." But they'll share a Barrymore stage Thursday, Oct. 1. Tickets for the all-ages show are $20, and Kottke and Redbone take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
