The first time Leo plays the opening riff, he's plucking the fifth and sixth treble strings (tuned as A and D given that this tune is in open D) using the following pattern: 5,6 5,6 5,6 5,6. The second time (i.e., how the tune is actually played), Leo is plucking the fifth and sixth strings with this pattern: 5,6 6,5 5,6 6,5. -- BH
