Book Review:  Leo Kottke, Eight Songs

      Years in the making, this fine collection of instrumentals by fingerpicking master Kottke is finally available.  The 94-page volume details seven [sic] numbers, including "Blue Dot," "Ojo," "Bean Time," "Fisherman" and "Jack Fig."  Each piece is meticulously presented in both standard notation and tablature, and accompanying study notes explain special symbols, tuning, and techniques.  A must for the serious fingerpicker.  Leo Kottke, Eight Songs retails for $12.95; it is published by Hal Leonard, 8112 W.
