Review: Leo Kottke Live
Leo Kottke has been perfroming solo for the past 30 years, so it's no surprise that his new live CD is a winner. Leo [Kottke] Live mixes instrumentals, vocals, a generous amount of 12-string picking, and a hilarious impromptu monologue that gives the listener a real sense of being at a Kottke gig. The recording was made with great microphones and has a full, crisp sound with lots of presence. Most of the material is from Kottke's last few Private Music releases, except for a couple of tracks, including a fast and furious version of his classic "Bean Time." -- James Jensen
