Pegs

The part of the tuning machines on the headstock around which the strings are wrapped.

Pickguard

A plastic or other plate that protects the soundboard from scratches.

Pickup

An device, usually mounted in the soundhole or under the saddle, which allows the vibration of the strings to be electronically amplified.

Purfling

A decorative inlay close to the edges of the body. See Binding.
